The Vail Recreation District offers a Summer Camp for Kids called Mad Scientists that teaches elementary school age children about fun sciencey stuff!

With so many physical activities in the Mountains, it’s nice to have options for the kids that also help them learn. Summer is a time for kids to take a break from school and homework but this camp is a great opportunity for them to get out and learn. The day camps happen on Friday and start on July 15th through July 29th. Topics currently are July 15th Rockets, July 22nd Newton’s Law, and July 29th Engineering.

Dates: Fridays July 15, 22, 29
Drop Off: 9 a.m.
Pick Up: 4 p.m.
Ages: 7-12
Cost: $50 (includes a $20 materials fee each day)

The Vail Recreation District offer many other activities for kids of all ages throughout the summer whether you want to plan ahead and send them to Camp Vail, drop into Imagination Station or let them experience an overnight trip with Camp Eco-fun to Sweetwater August 5-6. There are plenty of daily activities just waiting for them. Not all activities have a fee but some do so it’s good to check it out before you schedule. For adults, there is a co-ed softball league, an indoor hockey league, sand volleyball and much more!
